Dual Use Studios
If you’re dreaming of a dedicated workspace, a haven for your hobbies, and a smart storage solution, a multi-functional Sanctum Garden Studio might be your perfect match.
Increasing the Spec of your Garden Room

Today’s garden rooms are dynamic extensions of our homes, capable of juggling multiple roles with style and efficiency. Value for money is an important consideration and so if your garden room can serve multiple purposes, that’s a bonus!
Let’s explore how to create a garden studio that seamlessly blends the demands of an office, the inspiration of a creative space, and the practicality of storage.
Back in 2022 Rob contacted us with the spec of needing an office/creative space, as well as a storage solution. The studio would be used for consulting work and also as a quiet space to write, make videos, record podcasts and make music.

The Plan

Rob wanted a solution that was seamless and so we came up with a 9m x 3m contemporary studio split into two parts by a partition wall and external door to a storage area of 3m x 3m. Complete with directional lighting the storage area is a decent size and the external door is cedar infilled which adds to the style.
That left Rob with still a fairly large studio area of 6m x 3m to combine as a garden office, creative space and music area. In any garden building light is always a key consideration, and Rob decided to complete his studio with a set of 3.6m French doors with sidelights, and an additional fixed window on the front elevation.
We added in an Air Source Heat Pump to provide cool air during the warmer months and heat during the colder months. This helps the studio be usable for any day of the year, which really adds to the value this garden room provides.
