Back in 2023, Sanctum were approached by the Commercial Director of Chorley football club about the possibility of building a bespoke studio suitable for use as a VIP Suite during matches.

The idea was to bring something a bit different to match days and provide a space that felt a bit more special and private than the regular match day seating. If the space could also be used multi-functionally this would be a big bonus to the Club.

Our Technical Director went to site and after having a measure up and discussions with the club on their specific requirements, we designed a bespoke entertainment space to really elevate the clubs offering.

The Build

The club wanted a space that was easy to maintain and would match the Clubs black and white colours. To do this, we painted our weatherboard in black.

The front of the studio would be clad in beautiful Western Red Cedar to give it that luxury ‘Grand Designs’ feel for their VIP guests.

A bespoke overhang at 2m was added alongside an elevated composite decked area to ensure shelter from the elements and a fantastic viewing platform for watching the matches.

The Sanctum Garden Studio Suite provides a luxurious pitch-side environment where groups can relax before, during and after the game which really elevates the viewing experience. For up to 10 people with food and drink provided in the Suite, it makes for a great experience on match days.

The sliding doors really open up the space and enhances the entire match experience. Kick back and relax at half time in your own private space away from the crowds.

Our studios are perfect for this Match Day Suite that is used year round.

Because we use the best insulation available, (PIR) our studios retain heat well in Winter and protect against heat gain in the summer months ensuring a comfortable temperature can be enjoyed whatever the match day forcast is.

The outdoor seating on the decking is the best view of the pitch, so it really is a great place to watch the matches.

“It was a pleasure to be involved in the development of the VIP Suite at Chorley FC. Our modern manufacturing methods meant we could complete the ‘on-site’ elements of the build in only two days which was very important for the Clubs tight schedule.

Although the finished building looks quite different from most of the buildings we do week to week, we were able to simply and successfully adapt our standard designs to suit the clients specific requirements”.
